Get Crafty this Easter - Children's Easter Baskets

I've always been pretty lazy at Easter, just going to the shops to buy Easter eggs and not actually bothering to put much of an effort it.  Well this year me and Abi have started to make Easter baskets, I had such a great time making them and so did Abi, she loves doing crafts.

We were sent a lovely selection of Easter treats from Hobbycraft

How lovely are all these crafty bits, Abi especially likes the pink hat she got sent (we will use that and a few of the other bits, easter moulds and candy melts in another post)

To add to our Easter baskets, we went shopping and picked up some extra bits.  These bits were from Asda & the 99p store, I could have brought more there were so many lovely bits you could add to the baskets.

From Asda we brought, Easter masks £2, Dairy Milk chocolate mini eggs £1, yellow shredded paper £1 and a pack of 5 duck cards for 99p and from the party section I brought a pack of party bag goodies, which included pink sunglasses, necklaces, bracelets, rings, hair clips and hair bands, all for just £3.

I didn't want my basket to be full of just chcocolate, so I thought the girlie bracelets etc would be a lovely treat to add.

From the 99p store we got, 2 purple and pink baskets, Easter cupcake set (baking post to come later) box of marsh mallows, big chocolate bunny, pink duck, decroative pretty glittery coloured eggs and a box of Kinder chocolates.

We had already purchased a Princess Easter egg from Asda for £1 which we were going to use in our basket.

First basket we made is for my lovely Niece, who is nearly 4.

Here is our finished basket, Abigail had so much fun making the basket.  We can't wait to give this to my Niece for Easter.

We will have more posts over the next few days for Easter so please come back if your after some crafty ideas this Easter :)

  16. I never really make much of Easter either but this year we have a lovely new big garden and the girls keep asking for an Easter egg hunt so I'm planning one for them. Can't wait to see them racing round the garden finding little chocolate eggs.
